DETAILED ITINERARY Day 1. Bishkek –Kyzyl-Oi village/ 200 km – 5-6 hours In the morning, our guide will meet you at the International airport Manas in Bishkek and drive to the city where you will have a cup of coffee before we start the trip. We will start to explore the country! This morning, set off into the Kyrgyzstan’s countryside on the way to Kyzyl-Oi village. As you make your way north-west out of the city, stop to have a break and enjoy stunning views of Too-Ashuu pass. After a while, you will head further into Suusamyr valley driving on the cost of Kokomeren River. By the river, you will stop for picnic. In the evening, you will eventually arrive in the village and have a rest before dinner. If you have a time, you will have a walk on the streets of this remote, authentic and hospitable village
Day 2. Kyzyl-Oi village –Kilemche pasture./ 130 km – 3-4 hours of driving Horse riding to Song-Kol lake – 15 km – 3-4 hours Today you will arrive at the one of most popular and remote places of Kyrgyzstan - Song-Kol lake. After breakfast, you will drive from your guesthouse in Kyzyl-Oi village to Kilemche pasture whence you will start horse riding to Song-Kol lake. The horse trail will bring you to Tuz-Ahuu pass (3400m) where you will have a panoramic view to both – Song-Kol Lake and Kilemche valley on other side. After a while enjoying the view and giving a break for the horses, you will slowly descent to Tuz-Ashuu valley. You will continue riding to the shore of the lake then turn the head of your horse towards yurt camp and enjoy a smooth riding alongside the lake. The day will end with a dinner at yurt. Get ready to sleep at boz-ui – traditional Kyrgyz yurt.
Day 3. Horse riding day. Song-Kol lake – Kilemche / 15 km horse riding 3-4 hours Transfer Kilemche – Bokonbaevo / 220 km – 4-5 hours Today we will have a long and memorable day, as we will make our way back to the finish point in Kilemche valley. After breakfast, we will say goodbye to our family at the camp and slowly start our day on horseback heading towards the Jalgyz-Karagai pass (3400m). At the Jalgyz-Karagai pass, we will say goodbye to the lake and begin to descend into the Kilemche Valley, where we will have lunch in a yurt. After lunch, you will drive to Ysyk-Kol lake nicknamed as a ‘pearl of Kyrgyzstan’. By the late afternoon, you will arrive in Bokonbaevo village on the south shore of the lake. In the village, you will see an eagle hunting show organized by the local hunters. After an explanation of aspects of eagles and hunting with them, you will see eagle hunting to rabbit. At the end of the demonstration, you will test your skills on archery. The day will end with a tasty dinner in guesthouse and overnight
Day 4. Bokonbaevo – Karakol / 170 km – 3-4 hours This day you will explore some well-known and beautiful places around Ysyk-Kol lake. The day you will start with a visit Skazka canyons, then drive to Barskoon gorge where you will visit Barskoon waterfalls and Yuriy Gagarin monument. In the gorge, you will have a lunch at yurt. We will then continue our journey to the east, towards Karakol city. On our way, we will turn to the right to visit Jety-Oguz red mountains. The day will end with dinner at restaurant and check in the hotel.
Day 5. Trekking to Altyn-Arashan gorge. Today you will explore one of the most beautiful places of the country – amazing Altyn-Arashan gorge. In the morning, after you will get in Ak-Suu village by car you will start your trekking day, with a five-hour climb to the valley. You wll begin a long and smooth ascent to Altyn-Arashan, following a trail that will take you high above the Karakol river, through pine forests and shepherds houses. Your adventure will continue with swimming at hot springs in the valley and dinner at guesthouse.
Day 6. Trekking back to Karakol. This day will start with a slow descent from the valley following the trail alongside Karakol river. After you will reach Ak-Suu village, our car will pick you up and bring to Karakol city for lunch. We will go to local café to have an experience of very famous food of Karakol – Ash-lyam-fu. On the second half of the day, you will go to guided city tour exploring the city. By early evening, you will come back to your hotel in Karakol and have a rest after trekking.
Day 7. Karakol –Chon-Kemin National park / 320 km – 4-5 hours of driving. Today you will have a long but memorable driving day, as you will make your way to Chon-Kemin along the northern side of Ysyk-Kol Lake. On our way to Chon-Kemin, we will stop for a short visit the lakes of Grigorievka gorge and enjoy our picnic. By the evening, we will arrive in Chon-Kemin National park. After arrival at your guesthouse and checking in, you can spend the remainder of the day exploring the surroundings of the valley. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8. Chon-Kemin National park – Bishkek / 140 km – 2 hours of driving. Today is the last day of your 7-days journey in Kyrgyzstan! After breakfast at the guesthouse, you will head towards Bishkek. On our way, we will make a stop to visit the famous archaeological and architectural complex "Burana Tower". Here you will learn about the history of the renaissance of Islamic culture during the Khara-Khanid Khanate – a powerful state of Turkic tribes in Central Asia on the X-XII century. By the lunchtime, you will arrive in the capital and have a lunch in restaurant. On the second half of the day, you will go for guided city tour in Bishkek. You will visit Osh Bazaar and some other sightseeing of Bishkek. In the evening, you will go for the farewell dinner with your guide and finish your trip with a transfer to your hotel.
