Tour Program
Day 1: Arrival and exploring Bishkek
Upon arrival at the airport Manas you will be transferred to Bishkek (30km). Check in the hotel and take 2 hours to rest. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon city tour: visit the central area of the city, walk around the beautiful green parks and get to know about the history of the capital. Afterwards visit the local "Osh bazaar" - the main and one of the biggest street markets where the locals of Bishkek come to buy and sell their products. It is still very authentic and not overrun by tourists yet. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Hike to birch forest of Ala Archa
After breakfast, hike to the birch forest in Ala-Archa National Park. Enjoy your first time in the Kyrgyz mountains with a beautiful view of the snow covered peaks. The level of hike will be very easy, and you will really enjoy the fresh air and forest smell. Lunch picnic in the birch forest and hike down to Ala-Archa National Park. The altitude of the park is 2200 m above sea level. Drive back to Bishkek, dinner at the local restaurant and overnight in the hotel.

Day 3: Bishkek - Burana - Chong Kemin
In the morning, start your journey to Chong Kemin National Park (150km), the most beautiful valley in the north east of the country. On the way to Chong Kemin you will visit the ancient city Balasagun with the Burana Tower, dated back to the 10-11th century. Upon arrival at Chon Kemin, you will have lunch at a local guest house, take a horse ride to enjoy the beauty of nature and observe the wildlife. Night and dinner will be in the guesthouse.

Day 4: Chong Kemin - Karakol by the north shore of Issyk Kul
After breakfast, continue driving to Issyk-Kul Lake, the second biggest mountain lake in the world. Drive along the north shore of the lake. On the way visit the open air museum in Cholpon Ata city. Today overnight in Karakol city which is the biggest city of the Issyk Kul region. In Karakol you will visit historical sites: Dungan Mosque and the Orthodox Church. Dinner at the local restaurant and night in the hotel.

Day 5: Karakol to Altyn Arashan
This day we will hike up to the Altyn Arashan valley. Gorgeous valley with diverse trees and herbs. Enjoy the way along pine trees and mountain rivers. The valle is 20 km long and will slightly go up. It will be very good warm up before the trek the next day. Lunch picnic on the way. Upon arrival at the hot springs, relax in the natural hot springs. Dinner and overnight in a guest house. There are few guest houses near the hot springs.

Day 6: Altyn Arashan - Ak Suu
After breakfast, hike to a lake Anyrtoor in a valley nearby (15km). Enjoy a picnic at the lake shore and go over the pass to Ak Suu valley. In the Ak Suu valley we will set up our camp and enjoy the rest of the day. Dinner with a wonderful view and overnight in tents.
Hiking time: 3-4 hours.

Day 7: Ak Suu - Karakol
This day we will be hiking down the Ak Suu valley to Ak Suu village (22km). Lunch picnic on the way. In Ak uu village we will stop for the hot springs. It is a private hot spring zone where you can try 3 water degrees. And also after the very hot water you can jump in the river, the water is freezingly cold. The feeling after such a procedure is reviving. After that we will drive to Karakol city (10km) and have a nice dinner at a Dungan family house. Dungans are the nation who came from China in the early 18th century. In Short, they are Chinese muslims. They still keep their culture, language and cuisine. After that we will have an overnight stay in the hotel.
Hiking time: 4-5 hours.

Day 8: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Bokonbaevo
After breakfast, drive to Jety Oguz Gorge (70km), which is a red rocks mountain. Jety Oguz means 7 bulls, because the rocks look like the bulls from far. The view from the top of the hill is stunning. We will have a walk. Afterwards drive to Skazka Canyon which means Fairytail Canyon. The Canyons really remind the characters from different fairy tales. Short walk around the area. Enjoy the view from the top. And we will continue our drive to Bokonbaevo village. After the nice lunch we will watch an amazing Eagle hunting show. Eagle hunting is one of the main cultural heritages of the Kyrgyz people. Nowadays the young generation is still keeping the knowledge about the eagle hunting and passing it from one generation to another. Dinner and overnight in a yurt camp at the lake side.

Day 9: Bokonbaevo - Kyzart
This day we will drive to Kochkor village. There are many handicraft master minds in Kochkor village. We will enjoy a beautiful felt carpet show. You can ask many questions about the kyrgyz carpets and even buy something for yourself in the small shop. After this we will have lunch at a local family. Continue to drive to Kyzart village. Some free time before the dinner. Dinner and overnight in a local family owned guest house.

Day 10: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Bokonbaevo
This day we will start a horse riding adventure. From Kyzart village we will go to Kilemche valley. A wonderful valley surrounded by the amazing mountains.Lunch picnic on the way with a beautiful view over the mountains. After the arrival to the valley we will have some walk around the area. Have some short talks with the local nomads. See how they do their routine. You can find many interesting discoveries for yourself. Dinner and overnight at a nomadβs family yurt.

Day 11: Kilimche - Song Kul
On the second day of our horse riding tour we will go from Kilemche valley to Son-Kul lake. Song Kul lake is the second highest lake in Kyrgyzstan. The altitude of the lake is 3016m above sea level. It possible to visit this lake just from the middle of May till the end of September. The water in the lake is fresh and there are few types of fish in the lake. On the pass to the lake we will enjoy the stunning view to the lake, take some pictures and continue. We will go down to the lake. Lunch picnic on the way. Dinner and overnight in a yurt camp near the lake.

Day 12: Day at Song Kul
This day you can enjoy a day at the lake. You will spend the whole day near Son-Kul lake. Take a walk and get to know the nomad life at the lake side. This area is reached by nomads. On exceptional days it is even possible to take a bath in the lake. Dinner and overnight in a yurt camp.

Day 13: Song Kul - Kyzyl Oy
After breakfast, we drive to Kyzyl Oy village, going through the Kara keche pass. We will drive along the Kokomeren river and the view will be incredible. Lunch picnic on the way. Upon arrival in Kyzyl Oy village weill check in to the local houses and have some free time in the village. Kyzyl Oy is a very unique village with houses made out of clay. Kyzyl Oy means Red mind. Most of the houses have red color because of the clay. You will love Kyzyl Oy village. Dinner and overnight at a local familyβs house in Kyzyl Oy. Driving distance - 150 km, Travel time: 3-4 hours.

Day 14: Kyzyl Oy -Bishkek
Drive back to Bishkek via Suusamyr valley. The valley is mesmerizing itself with many yurts and life stocks. The white peaks of the mountains you can see all year around. Lunch in a restaurant in Suusamyr valley. Optional: short hiking to Sulutorskiy Lake near the Too Ashuu Pass. It can be a very good option after a long drive. Afterwards, we drive to Bishkek. Farewell dinner with a folkshow and overnight in a hotel.
